Update: Stokenchurch head office

We have been unable to access our Stokenchurch Head Office since a fire damaged part of the building in July.  Now a month on, we have a better idea of the longer-term implications of the smoke and soot damage to our premises.

Following professional advice and assessment, we have been told it could be up to 12 months before we return to the office as a comprehensive and specialist clean is undertaken. This includes the building infrastructure as well as all of our equipment and collateral stored there.

In the immediate aftermath of the fire, staff returned to the remote working model which we adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now we have acquired some temporary office space at Beacon House in Stokenchurch which will fulfil our business needs for the next year while the cleaning and recovery work is carried out. We will be in touch with volunteers and regular visitors about how they can resume visiting, in due course.

We would like to reassure our patients and supporters none of this disruption has affected or will affect our frontline operations, which are based at RAF Benson.
