Mourning Queen Elizabeth II

We at Thames Valley Air Ambulance join the country in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. As we continue this period of national mourning, and in respect for our Royal Patron the Countess of Wessex, we will be pausing some planned activity.  Our critical care crews will be responding as normal.

Where external fundraising events which are held in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance go ahead, we will continue to provide appropriate support. The funds we raise are vital to ensure we can continue to respond when our community needs us. These events can provide an opportunity for the community to come together to remember Her Majesty The Queen and share their memories.

While we have scaled back our face-to-face fundraising you may still see Thames Valley Air Ambulance representatives out and about meeting the public, giving them opportunities to donate to our charity should they wish.

Our Cardiac Arrest Symposium will take place on Thursday, as a specialist training and education opportunity for the paramedics, doctors and  nurses attending. Our speakers and delegates have committed their time to this endeavour and it would be hard to reschedule. Given the difference we hope this will have for patients, we feel it is right this goes ahead.

We may seem a little quiet over the coming days on our social media and website as we, like the nation, pause to reflect on Her Majesty’s reign and its legacy.

As ever our frontline operations stand ready to serve our communities, as they do 365 days a year.
