THIS IS MISSION 40. CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO COVER 40 MILES Or More IN MARCH.
Join hundreds of others taking on Mission 40 and supporting Thames Valley Air Ambulance with every mile. Together, you can make a huge difference to patients in need of our lifesaving care.
Make 40 miles your goal and match the average distance our helicopter flies to reach an emergency within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire. Alternatively, take it further by choosing one of our other distances:
40 miles
80 miles
160 miles
You can complete this virtual challenge in your garden, local park, on the school run – the choice is yours. Whether you walk, run, swim, cycle or wheel your way to 40 miles, you will help our crews to be there for people when they need us the most.
In 2025, we were called out 3,302 times to help seriously injured or ill people across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. By bringing hospital-level drugs and procedures to the scene, our doctors and paramedics fight to give everyone the best chance of survival and recovery.
By signing up to Mission 40, you’ve taken the first step in helping our crews bring the hospital to the patient when every second counts.
Now in its fifth year, Mission 40 is an event in support of Thames Valley Air Ambulance. You will join hundreds of others challenging themselves to complete 40 miles in March, while fundraising for our lifesaving service.
Walk, run, swim, cycle, or wheel – how you complete the challenge is up to you.
40 miles in March – complete your mileage any time between 1st – 31st March.
