Payroll Giving

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is an easy, secure and tax efficient way of supporting Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Payroll Giving allows you to automatically give a regular donation to us directly from your gross salary. This means it costs you less to give more. Once it’s set up, you don’t need to do anything. You will be helping to save lives every time you are paid.

How does Payroll Giving work?

Donations are deducted from your pre-tax (gross) salary, reducing the total amount of income tax you need to pay. Below are some examples of the cost depending on your tax rate.

How does Payroll Giving benefit our charity?

Regular and reliable income allows us to plan ahead and budget for a sustainable future. Because of the tax relief on Payroll Giving donations, your money can go further meaning you can contribute a little more than you might otherwise be able to.

Employee Benefits

  • Full tax relief on donations.
  • You have full control over your donation and can stop or change your gift at any time.
  • Payroll Giving is ideal for busy people who need an easy and reliable solution to donate.
  • It is safe and secure! The deduction is taken directly from your salary so no bank details are shared.
  • You can support the causes that matter the most to you.

EMployer Benefits

  • Enhance and support your Corporate Social Responsibility activities and increase your overall charitable contribution.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to the causes your employees care about and that can directly affect their lives.
  • Motivate your employees to join together in support of a common cause, helping to enhance teamwork.
  • Enhance your charitable profile with consumers and customers, elevating your brand as conscious and leading to greater business opportunities.
  • Opportunity to apply for the quality mark scheme and national Payroll Giving excellence awards, which recognise a business’ commitment to giving.

Yes, as soon as you decide you would like to stop giving all you need to do is notify your payroll department. They will be able to arrange this for you.

There is a small administration fee –your employer will use a Payroll Giving Agent to send your gift to us. The Payroll Giving Agents are charities that need to make a small charge to cover their operating costs. A lot of employers in this situation pay this fee on your behalf, so that we receive your full gift. The donor can also incur the admin fee themselves.

Of course– you can choose to support one charity or equally support several of your favourite charities.

There is a minimum gift of £1, but there is no upper limit.

Payroll Giving is one of the simplest and efficient ways to donate.
