Sam is a sales manager, and drives a lot for work.

When he stopped for fuel recently, he was asked if he wanted to donate to Thames Valley Air Ambulance – the garage’s chosen charity. Later that week, he saw a flyer highlighting a sponsored walk in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance, and then happened to see the TVAA team fundraising at a local event.

Sam doesn’t have a personal connection with Thames Valley Air Ambulance, and has thankfully never needed their services. However, he is mindful of how important the service is in providing people in desperate situations with the best chance possible, often on the very roads he drives every day.

So this got Sam thinking – could he help too? With a busy job, and a young family, Sam doesn’t have the time to commit to volunteering or to participating in an event, but chatting to the TVAA team inspired Sam to want to support them.

Sam was inspired to support us. He set up a regular gift of £25 a month. £25 could buy a tourniquet, used by our expert crew, stopping blood loss from an injured limb, when minutes matter.

To Sam, £25 means he is making a difference by helping to make sure that Thames Valley Air Ambulance continue to give people the best chance when the worst happens.
