Amanda McLean is CEO of Thames Valley Air Ambulance. She oversees all areas of our activity and represents the charity externally. She works with the Board of Trustees to develop organisational strategy and to ensure that excellent patient care drives all of our decision-making.
Two other departments sit within the CEO’s office – Communications and Human Resources.
The Communications team are responsible for the full range of corporate communications, including relationships with the media, brand management, design, publications, digital communications and fundraising marketing.
The small HR team is responsible for employee relations and well-being; recruitment and induction; appraisal; compensation and benefits; and training and development.


Adam Panter is the Director of Operations. He is responsible for the operational delivery of our services. This ranges from working with our aviation providers and liaising with medical colleagues to ensure patient safety and clinical excellence through to vital back-office functions including finance, facilities, IT and data management.
The three departments within the Operations Directorate are Clinical Services; Compliance and Patient Safety; and Finance.


Dr Syed Masud is the Medical Director. He heads up the team of clinicians who are responsible for our clinical governance, standard operating procedures and audit & research. The Medical Directorate are also responsible for integrating national pre-hospital emergency medicine projects and training programmes within Thames Valley Air Ambulance’s operations and representing us in a broad range of national groups.


Neil Harman is the Director of Fundraising. This team looks after all of Thames Valley Air Ambulance’s amazing supporters including community fundraisers, corporate and trust supporters, lottery players, and challenge and event participants. They also coordinate a fabulous team of volunteers.
