Misbehavin’ at Christmas raises over £1k Berkshire-based piano and vocal duo Misbehavin’ 2 exceeded all expectations at their recent charity gig, and raised a whopping £1,070 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance service in the process. On Sunday 18th December, a packed Bucklebury Memorial Hall, bedecked in fairy lights and festive decorations, was the scene for a memorable party, with live music provided by local pianist Liz Collins and vocalist Claire Bowden. Ticket holders were treated to a diverse set list, from sentimental traditional Christmas favourites, to musical theatre classics, and dance floor fillers from the Beatles to Olly Murs. Organiser and Bucklebury resident, Maureen Bowden, said “My daughter Claire has been singing with Misbehavin’ 2 since 2008, and this is their fifth annual charity event. Previously, they have raised well over £4,000 for breast cancer charities. This year I suggested they support the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, who airlifted a family member to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge for life-saving brain surgery back in 2001 following a critical fall. We have been constant supporters ever since. "It seems inconceivable that this vital medical service receives no funding either from the government, or the National Lottery. We are thrilled that we have managed to raise over a thousand pounds for this vital and much-needed charity”.
