Thank you to everyone who made our 2nd Annual Charity Race Night at Royal Windsor Racecourse an incredible success. The sun shone, the drinks flowed, and support for Thames Valley Air Ambulance rolled in during a scorching Monday Night Racing.

We are still in the process of counting donations, but we know so far we’ve already beaten last year’s total of £25,000, which is amazing!

We couldn’t have done it without the generosity of everyone who supported us during the evening – from buying raffle tickets, bidding in the silent auction, and putting pounds in our donation buckets, your support helps us stay at the frontline of saving lives.

We especially want to thank Towersey Festival, Edgewell Care, Bahlsen biscuits and Bluebird Care for their race sponsorship and help on the evening, along with everyone that donated prizes for the raffle and auction.

In addition to support from across the concourse, we hosted 150 special guests in the Riverbank Marquee, who enjoyed a champagne reception before receiving top racing tips from jockey, David Crosse. Thames Valley Air Ambulance crew were on hand to show guests some of the equipment we use to bring the expertise to the roadside, such as our medical kit, and the incredibly life-like mannikins used for our training days.

One of the highlights of the evening was doctor Chloe and paramedic Andy joining us after their shift. Chloe and Andy made it just in time to help pick the best turned out horse and present the winning owners and jockey as part of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Fillies’ Handicap, won by Cross My Mind, ridden by Harry Bentley and trained by Ralph Beckett.

Overall it was a tremendous success, thank you to everyone who took part.
