The streets and fields of Buckinghamshire turned tropical as the Chiltern Vintage Tractor Run had a Hawaiian theme.

A record 67 vintage tractors took part in the 11th annual event and raised an incredible £6.402. The rally started in Fingest before chugging 15 miles to Fawley Hill Estate in Henley-on-Thames.

As the sun shone, most drivers and passengers donned their tropical shirts, hula skirts and leis for a fun day out.

The rally continues to receive tremendous support from the public who come back year after year. Event organiser Gary Anderson thanked the local community for another successful rally.

“When I first organised the rally back in 2007 I could never have imagined the popularity of the event. I love putting on the rally, it’s so much fun to organise and to take part in.

Supporting Thames Valley Air Ambulance is vitally important for us. We are a rural community and you never know when you are going to need their life-saving support.”

Although the rally has just ended, Gary is already looking ahead to next year.

“We are pleased to announce that we will continue to support TVAA next year in our 12th rally on 20 May. Next year’s theme will be pirates so get your eye patches out and practice your ‘arghs’!”

From all at TVAA, thank you for your continued support, you help save lives.
