News and Media Blog Three Cheers for Burghfest Who knew anyone could drink that much beer? Burghfest 2016 went off without a hitch and raised an incredible £11,500 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. The two-day community event was attended by more than 2,000 and included a hot roast, Rodeo Bull, live music and of course – beer! The good people of Berkshire managed to drink a staggering 3,800 pints of beer during the weekend – that’s enough beer to fill half a swimming pool! Burghfest was the brainchild of the ‘Santas of Burghfield’ who have raised more than £100,000 for us over the last 10 years. Christian Frankum who was one of the organisers for this year’s event highlighted the great achievement, “Burghfest managed to raise a huge amount of money that will mean a great deal to our heroes of the skies”. We want to thank all the attendees of Burghfest for raising money for our service, and a special mention to the Santas of Burghfield for their continued support over the past decade.
